Position Overview
A well-established intimate apparel company is looking for an experienced Fashion Designer to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate is CAD/Illustrator savvy, detail-oriented, possesses strong communication skills, and thrives as a team player.
Our brands have garnered accolades and rave reviews from both shoppers and buyers across the U.S. and abroad. Our customers include regional department stores, national chains, and specialty stores. In addition to our proprietary brands, we produce private-label lines for major domestic and international retailers.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop collections across multiple product categories.
- Conduct trend research and create visual presentations.
- Create detailed flat technical sketches on the computer.
- Design and develop color palettes, prints, and fabric simulations.
- Create original prints, brand tags, and packaging materials as needed.
- Prepare and present design materials for market appointments and private label clients.
- Support the product development team's calendar and milestones.
- Communicate extensively with sales, technical, and production teams.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in fashion design.
- Degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Proven ability to translate market trends into commercial designs tailored to target audiences.
- Strong ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (CAD) — Required.
- Strong fashion sense and keen eye for color.
- Solid knowledge of print and textile design.
- Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong collaboration and leadership skills.
- Confident and comfortable presenting product lines both in-person and via video.
